Dr. Godar is board certified in Medical Acupuncture, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics. He has been incorporating acupuncture into his medical practice for 24 years. He continues to work in hospital medicine, but his outpatient office practice is “acupuncture only.” He does not provide primary care services or prescription medications.
Dr. Godar is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He completed a Combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Residency at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. His initial acupuncture training included training under Dr. Anita Cignolini at The Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California, and he is also a graduate of the Helms Medical Institute Medical Acupuncture for Physicians course under Dr. Joseph Helms. He has completed extensive advanced acupuncture training over the subsequent years.
